Packaging Development Manager

You will

You will be responsible for

  • Cost optimization and NPD: PDM liaises with Engineering, Procurement and production team to 
    - speed up process
    - identify cost saving ideas
    - avoid down-times due to pack material issues
    - lower overall packaging process cost
     
  • New product development: PDM is responsible for filling the e-SRF within 48h with primary/secondary and tertiary packaging material detail as well as provide logistic data for all those requests which requires existing packaging
     
  • Quality: secures packaging quality and safety thru auditing packaging suppliers, follows development action points and non-conformity solutions, anticipate complaint procedures regarding packaging material
     
  • Documentation: PDM creates PM specifications, documents and another required PM paperwork for clients and in close cooperation with clients and PPF internal organisation
     
  • Sustainability: PDM guarantees completeness and correctness of PM specifications as detailed as needed for internal/external sustainability reporting
     
  • Specifications: PDM is responsible for primary/secondary and tertiary packaging material specifications
     
  • Trials: PDM supports Plant Packaging Responsible in testing and development process
     
  • System maintenance: PDM is responsible to update SharePoint and maintain packaging database
     
  • Training and support: Creates Plant level packaging manual
     

You are the right fit, if you have

  • Good command of the English language (verbal & written)
  • Active knowledge of MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, MS Outlook)
  • Required to travel to other plants, suppliers or any company site as commanded by role. Travels to represent up to 50% of the working time.
  • Driving license B
  • Not mandatory but preferred: 
  • University degree (preferred in Engineering)
  • Packaging qualification or experience
  • Procurement experience
  • Extensive Project Management experience
